解説
スコットランドの非公式な国歌としてラグビーやフットボールの試合で歌われている。1966年にフォークグループ「The Corries」の Roy Williamson によって発表された。1314年にスコットランド王King Robert the Bruceがエドワード2世率いるイングランド軍に大勝利をおさめたバノックバーンの戦い（the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314）が歌詞に織り込まれている（右写真：エディンバラ城/出典：Wikipedia）。
